A LIFE-size Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) aeromedical simulator will be on display in Mildura this weekend as part of Sunraysia support group fundraising efforts.
The simulator, measuring almost five metres long, offers an activity for young and old and will be at Mildura Bunnings Ware- house in Fifteenth Street tomorrow between 10am and 4pm.
The RFDS Sunraysia support group was formed in 1999 and has since raised more than $550,000 for the service.
The RFDS delivers air and road patient trans- port, primary health care programs such as diabetes, mobile eye and dental care and rural women’s services, as well as raising funds for emergency retrieval across Australia.
The service comes into contact with more than 290,000 patients a year, performs about 37,000 aeromedical evacuations and conducts about 15,000 health care clinics a year.
Anyone interested in joining the Sunraysia sup- port group should call Lew Burke on 5022 8299.
