Living through History

It is important for future historians to be able to find sources on how COVID-19 affected school students. At the front of your classroom your teacher has a glass jar labelled ‘Going to school during COVID-19’, the name of your school and today’s date. As a class, you are going to fill the jar with your memories of remote schooling. Everybody will have something different to contribute. At the end of the class, your teacher will give the jar to the school archives to keep safe so that people in the future can learn about your experiences.

An archive is where all things relating to a particular building, business, person or type of history are stored and can be accessed for research. If your school doesn’t have an archive, the teacher will scan your notes so they can be kept in the school’s digital records.’
